Chinese Gov't Reportedly to Merge TD-SCDMA Assets

According to a report in the Economic Observer, the Chinese government is planning to put the TD-SCDMA assets of the country's four major telecom equipment makers, including China Putian, Datang, Alcatel Shanghai Bell, and Fiberhome, together into a new entity, with the report saying that the move is aimed at strengthening TD-SCDMA's market position.
